The Men’s Club is a group of men in the congregation who come together for fellowship, to promote church activities, and to raise funds for church work. The Men’s Club is always open to anyone who wishes to participate and assist in any events.

Paul Sales is the Financial Development Officer for Quebec and Eastern Ontario of The United Church of Canada. He serves as a resource person to congregations on revenue generation. He also meets with donors who indicate an interest in establishing a legacy gift for their congregations or other ministries in the United Church.
Paul is also known as a church musician and worship leader. From 1994–2002, he was the Minister of Music at Orleans United Church in Ottawa, and from 1999–2005 was Music Editor of Gathering, the worship periodical of The United Church of Canada. More recently, he led the music ministry at First United Church, an Affirming congregation in Ottawa (2010-2012).
Come and enjoy a soup and sandwich luncheon after our Advent I service. Our guest speaker is Jean Trudel, President of Cercle de la Paix. He will be speaking about what he does for this organization and his recent trip to the United Nations. There is no cost but a $5 donation would be most welcome.
All those participating in "Jesus, Up Close and Personal" are encouraged to attend given that this is the first Sunday of Advent - the beginning of our journey toward the manger and the Prince of Peace.

The speaker will be Bernard Harvey of the Nouvel Vie Church in Longueuil.
His presentation will focus on his trip to Haiti as a member of a team to help with construction following the 2010 earthquake.
